Our Story

TouchBistro was founded in 2010 with one mission: to provide restaurateurs with innovative technology that makes running a restaurant easier. We started with our core product, our point of sale. Now, we offer an all-in-one restaurant management system that includes payment processing, online ordering, reservations, and more. And we’re not done. TouchBistro continues to evolve, finding better and better solutions to help restaurateurs increase sales, delight guests, and save time and money.

Samir Zabaneh

Chairman and CEO

A veteran in the payments industry, Samir Zabaneh was appointed as TouchBistro’s Chairman and CEO in 2021 to lead the company’s evolution from a point-of-sale solution into a comprehensive restaurant management system of record. Under his leadership, TouchBistro has grown its strategic partnerships and product innovation, creating a comprehensive, elevated experience for restaurant operators and diners.

Andrea Kando

Chief Payments & Strategy Officer

Andrea Kando is committed to developing and optimizing strategic technology, creating go-to-market strategies, and working cross functionally to scale for growth. With multi-disciplinary experience across product, marketing, and operational functions, Kando’s collaborative style brings together leaders across organizations to create client and revenue focused strategies and transformation plans. Prior to joining TouchBistro, Andrea was EVP and Head of Product, Marketing, and Communications at Paya, an integrated payments provider. Prior to joining Paya, Andrea spent fourteen years at First Data Corporation (now Fiserv), most recently as Vice President of Commercialization and Client Experience and held progressive leadership positions within First Data, including Client Care and Operations Programs and Strategy lead, Chief of Staff, head of enterprise financial service client training and documentation, and head of contact center training and quality. She is passionate about mentoring and building the next generation of technology leaders, serving as committee director in multiple organizations including Women in Technology and wNet.

Bree is passionate about delivering exceptional customer experiences, leading high performing teams, and developing strategies that transform product, professional services, and support, across customer and enterprise value chains. As TouchBistro’s Chief Customer Officer, Bree is responsible for ensuring customers realize the value of TouchBistro’s solutions, leading experience strategy, customer facing implementation, support, and consulting teams. Prior to joining TouchBistro Bree created and advanced customer experience programs and teams across fintech, consumer, and telecom verticals at leading Canadian brands including goeasy, Moneris, and Rogers.

Amer Matar holds over 25 years as a technology and product leader in various major fintech and blockchain organizations. With his experience in building collaborative top talent teams, paired with his knowledge of creating and delivering market-leading solutions, Amer is responsible for the introduction of numerous first-to-market tech and payment products in North America. As TouchBistro’s Chief Technology Officer, Amer combines vision, strategy and tactics across multiple verticals to create a clear path for growth and innovation.

Prior to investment banking, he was a top-ranked research analyst covering the technology industry for 15 years. As Chief Financial Officer, Scott guides TouchBistro’s long-term growth and stability with a visionary approach.
